Vienna Economic Talks – Belgrade Meeting 2017

The Serbian Association of Economists and the Vienna Economic Forum are organising the Vienna Economic Talks – Belgrade Meeting 2017 under the patronage of the President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker. The conference is to be held on May 21st-22nd 2017 at the Serbian Chamber of Commerce. After registration of participants and the first evening session, a welcome cocktail shall be held at Metropol Hotel. It is expected that this convention which promotes regional cooperation and Serbia’s European orientation shall be attended by the Government’s high officials, the Prime Minister, as well as by the leading representatives of the economic environment.

Vienna Economic Forum, whose offices are in Vienna, was founded in 2004 with the aim to popularise and promote investment opportunities and economic cooperation between countries and territories which are located between the Adriatic and Black Sea (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Slovenia, Turkey, Ukraine and Kosovo). The idea of Dr Elena Kircheva, Ambassador to Bulgaria in Vienna, was supported by the most respectable companies and entrepreneurs in Austria. Since it was established, the Vienna Economic Forum organised a large number of conferences in Bucharest, Belgrade, Ohrid, Istanbul, Bečići, Tirana and other cities, all under the patronage of the prime ministers of the host countries. President of this prominent organisation is Dr Erhard Busek, former Vice-Chancellor of Austria and Special Coordinator of the Stability Pact for South Eastern Europe.
