Drakulić Zoran

Zoran Drakulić was born in Ljubljana in 1953. His father was Colonel Danilo Drakulić, who later founded airline company Avio-Genex.

As of three years of age, he lived in Dorćol where he attended elementary school. After graduating from Zemun’s High School, he completed studies at the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Law.

He is father of three daughters.

He was an active and successful athlete, a national pioneer and junior champion in breast swimming, a national team member, and then a national swim team coach.

He began his professional career in in Generalexport company at a position in financial and commercial affairs.

For seven years he was CFO of Genex’ Yougo-Arab company, one of the first offshore companies that covered business activities in the Near and the Middle East. In 1989 he started to work in Genex Bank as Deputy Director, in charge of contacts with major banks and financial organizations, special financial and commodity transactions and debt purchases on the secondary markets.

He founded East Point Holdings Ltd in June 1990, with headquarters in Cyprus, and then opened subsidiaries and representative offices worldwide (Yu Point in Belgrade, representative offices in Moscow and twenty other countries).

East Point Holdings was one of the largest companies in the region and it invested in Serbia thus becoming the owner or co-owner of several companies from the mill-bakery industry, as well as the Copper Mill in Sevojno, two cable factories, a factory for the production of coolers and heaters. East Point was a leading grain company in the region with a large plant for transshipment of grain and storage facilities built at the port of Constanta in Romania.

In 2011 he founded Point Group Int d.o.o. in Belgrade and its main activities were wheat and corn flour production, he was the owner of the mill and silo in Sombor and Backa Palanka, as well as generated the production of coolers and heaters in his own factory. Within the company is also Bioenergy Point registered for operations in the area of renewable energy sources. The factory is the leader at the Serbian market in the production of wood pellets in the factory in Boljevac. The first cogeneration plant working on biomass, at the same location in Boljevac, was finished in 2020, and in 2022 solar batteries were installed in capacity of 2,8MWh.
