Svetlana Kisić holds the position of a special advisor at the Economics Institute in Belgrade. 

She began her consulting career in 1987 at the Economics Institute, and from 1994 to 2007, she carried on with it as Director of the Financial Consulting Department at Deloitte.

Her experience encompasses working on more than 90 consulting projects in different economic domains, including privatization, restructuring, strategic plan development and organizational challenges, etc. As a result of this, she was the project manager   on more than 60 projects.
She advanced her academic career along with her consultancy business. From 1981 to 2021, she was lecturer at the Belgrade Business School. She was a professor of Business Economics, Management, Entrepreneurship in undergraduate studies, and Business Analysis in specialist studies.
Svetlana Kisić earned her B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees at the Faculty of Economics, University of Belgrade. She also attended numerous training courses and received the MTM analyst license from the Swedish MTM Group AB, Stockholm. She did her doctoral dissertation on the analysis of the effects of entrepreneurial education on the development of students' skills and entrepreneurial intentions. 

From 2011 until 2022, she was a member of the UniCredit Bank Serbia Supervisory Board in addition to being a member of the UniCredit Leasing Serbia Supervisory Board from 2012 to 2017. She served as chair of the Supervisory Board of Viskoza Holding Loznica from 2003 to 2009. She was also President of the Economics Institute Supervisory Board from 2006 to 2011.

She is a member of the Executive Board and Presidency of the Serbian Association of Economists, and member of the Serbian Association of Corporate Directors. She is a member of the  Kopaonik Business Forum Program Committee. 

She is President of the Supervisory board of Junior Achievement Serbia, a division of Junior Achievement Worldwide, the largest global provider of education programs for entrepreneurship, work readiness and financial literacy. She is the co-founder and chairperson of the Women’s Government, an apolitical and non-profit organization, with a mission to promote the expert potential of women in Serbia. She is one of the founders and a member of the Executive Board of Forum for the Development of Women’s Entrepreneurship in Serbia. She also serves on Board of the European Movement in Serbia.

She has published, both independently as well as a co-author, a great number of books, studies and articles.
