Bearing in mind that the quality of institutional infrastructure is an important determinant of successful functioning of any national economy and its economic subjects, the interest of every country to continuously improve the level of quality and efficiency of its economic and political institutions is indisputable. The topicality of the mentioned issues is an incentive to organizers to provide researchers with the opportunity to objectively and critically consider key aspects of establishing and developing institutional environment, as well as to provide creators of the environment of the economic system with an opportunity to, respecting those findings, improve the business conditions, as a prerequisite for economic growth and development of Serbia.

Keeping in mind its social and economic relevance, the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia provides financial support to this Scientific Meeting. Relevant scientific and practical implications for future institutional solutions arose from the papers presented and discussions led at the Meeting. The papers presented at the 17th Scientific Meeting will be published in the proceedings, thereby making them available to the scientific and professional community and creators of institutions and economic policies in Serbia.
